Wix has launched a new ChatGPT integration that lets people create a website by simply describing what they want. Users can start inside ChatGPT by typing “@Wix” and then build a Wix Harmony site with either text or voice. Wix says the new app is built with OpenAI’s Apps SDK and powered by Wix’s Model Context Protocol, helping users go from idea to live website more easily.

The idea is to make website creation feel more natural for beginners, small business owners, and anyone who wants to move faster. Instead of dealing with lots of setup steps first, users can describe their business, style, and goals in plain language, and Wix will generate a professional-grade site directly inside the ChatGPT experience.

Wix says the experience does not stop after the first draft. Once the website is created, users can keep improving it through simple written or spoken instructions. They can add business tools, review performance, and make updates without needing to dig through every setting manually. Existing Wix users can also connect the app and manage their current assets through ChatGPT.

The company also says each site created this way runs on Wix’s enterprise-grade infrastructure and comes with useful built-in tools such as ecommerce, scheduling, payments, and SEO features. That could make the tool especially attractive for businesses that want more than just a basic online page.

In a statement about the launch, Wix executive Shahar Talmi said the goal is to make it easier for people to start, run, and grow their online presence in tools they already use every day. The AI website building app is now available in markets where the ChatGPT app directory is supported.
