Lovable Hits $400M ARR as AI App-Building Tools Grow

Lovable, a startup from Stockholm, reached $400 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) in February. The company did not confirm if it will still reach $1 billion ARR this year, saying its main focus is helping people build apps using its platform.

Lovable is part of a new group of tools that let users create websites and apps with simple natural language, a trend called vibe coding. Companies such as Klarna and HubSpot are already using it.

The company recently launched its first brand campaign called “Earworm,” featuring music by Swedish band Boko Yout. The campaign shows how someone can turn an idea into a real app using Lovable.

Lovable has grown quickly, reaching 8 million users and a $6.6 billion valuation in less than a year. CEO Anton Osika said that more than half of Fortune 500 companies are already using the platform.

Despite competition from AI tools by Anthropic and OpenAI, Lovable’s revenue has been rising fast. The company now plans to hire more employees worldwide, even though it currently has only 146 workers. Its revenue per employee is very high, already above predictions from Gartner.
